-SickTick Band composition is 70% cotton / 30% spandex, so it's useful for industry use where fire hazards are an issue
-SickTick Band design is a very porous fabric specifically to enhance the effectiveness of the permethrin treatment - each time a tick steps on the band they pick up a significant amount of permethrin creating a toxic load for them. While ticks and chiggers may cross the bands, they generally slow down and feel the paralytic effects within a few minutes, often dying within 4 minutes. This essentially keeps ticks from biting even if they do manage to fully climb above the band.
